StarPilot — Coming soon to XBox Community Games.  This is a really interesting and relaxing game.  It reminds me of the old game Tron — Light Cycles, only this is much more fun and the graphics are far superior.  It's one of those games you can spend a lot of time playing and not be frustrated.  The game play, visuals and background music's very relaxing ethereal sound, all work together to create a very enjoyable laid back experience.

The game play is very straight forward.  You control a ship with a long light trail.  The objective of the game is to force the opposing players to cut through your light trail, inflicting damage while not crossing their light trail, or your own.  The playing area is a 2d plane, there is no up and down, only left and right in the controls, but everything in the game is rendered in 3d and I might add that the visuals are very clean, creative and well done.  In the play area are floating items that can be used to create unique flight paths, change your light trail or repair your ships hull.   Items float and spin gently in a very visually pleasing  way. The challenge is to use your items wisely and there is a bit of strategy to getting the opposing ships cornered and then using an item to execute a 90 degree turn to force your opponent to intersect your light trail.  Another item is a 180 degree turn, which is useful for getting out of a tough spot when trapped.

This game won't get your heart pounding with excitement, but it is a very well executed and challenging game.    If you're looking for something enjoyable, a nice change of pace from the typical shooter, StarPilot is an excellent game.
