Ever wished you could surf inside an oscilloscope? Well now you can! Play sin(Surfing) now with this 360 version of the TIGSource Procedural Generation Compo entry by twohalf and Sifu Peng!
The Good
- Addictive gameplay
Needs Improvement
- Feedback on how stunts are performing is lacking
sin (Surfing) is one of those games that draws you in once you give it a few minutes of your time. While it is super simple as a total game it is strangely addictive and very fun to play. When I first launched the game I was like WTH is this? My wife was watching me play and after crashing and burning for a while I decided to start hammering the A-button. Next thing you know I'm surfing, hopping waves, and doing all sorts of whacky spins for points.
As you surf the sin wave (looks very much like a giant oscilloscope) you get points for doing stunts that boil down to jumping and spinning in air. I found myself, 20 minutes after I started, completely engrossed in the game and trying to eek out just a few points more on each successive stunt. It's truely addictive and although it looks very lame at first, I'd actually say it's worth the $2.50 or 200 points. It's available now on the Marketplace for 200 points.
