Word Soup - XBox 360 Community Game
Rating:

Review by Gamer Outfit
This word game is easy to play and maddeningly addictive. Join the blocks to make words of three or more letters. Blocks can be joined horizontally, vertically and diagonally. When a word is made, the blocks used disappear and the blocks above collapse. Every move creates new combinations.
The Good
- Style, graphics
Needs Improvement
- Appearance, clutter
Word Soup, by developer Fuzzy Bug, is a fun word game that really does exactly what the quote says and that's to provide a game in which you create words that contain three or more letters to clear the board (or grid in this case.)
To play Word Soup you move a cursor around the game area and select blocks in order to spell out words. You get more time and points depending on how long the word is and what colors you pick to create the words. If you clear the entire grid you get bonus points and are allowed to move on. If you fail to clear the grid in time your game is over.
Word Soup is a lot of fun and does stress out your brain to find words to create and to clear the board in enough time. If I were to change anything it would be to make the cursor more noticeable on an HDTV screen and upgrade some of the graphics to fit the 21st century but overall it's a great puzzle word game.
Word Soup is available now on the Microsoft Marketplace for 400 points.
